Parque Mirador del Sur – Limestone Ridge & Caribbean Overlook
An 8 km park built along a dramatic limestone ridge overlooking the Caribbean Sea from the south of the city. The moon rises over the sea with the ridge and its enormous cave system below — one of the few elevated vantage points in Santo Domingo with views toward the water. The caves beneath the park are some of the largest in the Caribbean. Open to pedestrians and cyclists from 6 am daily; the ridge path offers multiple overlook points along its full length.
Faro a Colón – Columbus Lighthouse Esplanade, Santo Domingo Este
The cross-shaped Columbus Lighthouse sits on a vast open esplanade in the east of the city, directly facing the Caribbean.
