Best Places to View the Moon in Kyiv

St. Andrew's Church – Uzdykhalnytsya Viewpoint

The viewpoint beside the church looks east over the Podil district and the Dnipro, with the old city rooftops below. The church's turquoise and white facade makes an exceptional full-moon foreground.
St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery – Upper Town Terrace
The monastery terrace on the Upper Town bluff faces north-east over the Podil quarter and the broad Dnipro bend. The golden domes catch any ambient moonlight and the city lights below create a layered composition. Free access to the terrace; the monastery grounds are open daily.
Motherland Monument – Pechersk Plateau
The 102-metre stainless-steel Motherland statue on the Pechersk plateau commands one of the widest panoramas in the city — the Dnipro, the left bank, and the Lavra complex all visible from the surrounding park. The sculpture itself becomes a dramatic moonrise silhouette from lower viewing positions in the park.
Landscape Alley – Shevchenko Park Ridge
